6 HubSpot AI tools that’ll do your marketing grunt work

6 HubSpot AI tools that’ll do your marketing grunt work

We've all heard the fear-mongering about AI coming to snatch away our jobs and render us useless, talentless husks. Pundits keep screaming that we must become AI wizards to have a prayer of surviving the looming robot apocalypse. But you want to know the honest truth? That nightmare fuel is bullshit....

Don't get distracted by the call for you to become an expert in machine learning. The AI evolution is already happening all around us, within the tools we use every day.

Take HubSpot for example. While you were busy panicking about having to master ChatGPT and DALL-E to avoid joining the queue at the job centre, the brains at HubSpot were baking AI into the platform you already know and love.

And in true HubSpot style, they’ve done so in a way that even a chimp could understand - which is good news for the large majority of us, who, when it comes to AI, very much resemble primates trying to use tools for the first time.

And I'm not talking useless gimmicks either. HubSpot has been cozying up with AI juggernauts like Anthropic and OpenAI to bake advanced language models and generative wizardry directly into their product. There’s lots more on the way (you can see every bit of AI HubSpot is working on here), but here’s just 6 examples of how they’re doing it:

While you were busy panicking about having to master ChatGPT and DALL-E to avoid joining the queue at the job centre, the brains at HubSpot were baking AI into the platform you already know and love.

1. ChatSpot.AI
This ChatGPT-powered sidekick lives inside HubSpot, ready to automate workflows, crunch data into custom reports, and even lend a hand with writing content. Don’t expect the output to be perfect (when it is, we may actually be in trouble), but it’ll set you on your way, and save the dicking about and procrastination that most tasks start with.

2. Content Assistant
HubSpot's AI content engine sits directly within the content editors throughout the platform. Take email for example, rather than obsessing over subject lines, you can generate one in a single click. Again, it won’t be perfect, but it’ll accelerate the process.

And yes, you could do the same thing with ChatGPT I hear you cry, but the big difference is ChatGPT isn’t informed by all of the other data in your HubSpot portal, Content Assistant is, so the output is much less likely to be a pile of wank.

3. AI Reporting & Workflow Explainers
Forget deciphering those shitty automated PDF reports. With HubSpot's new AI reporting, you can just ask it (in plain English) questions about your metrics. It will also translate your automation into clear workflow descriptions that even your nan could understand.

4. AI Website Builder (Private Beta)
In our view, building a website shouldn’t be a quick job and templated website builders should be avoided like the plague. However, if you’re going to go cheap on your website build, you may as well save the hours spent building a crappy website by letting HubSpot's AI website builder do it for you.

That being said, if we’re talking about building basic landing pages, or other similar tasks, then using AI is a no-brainer. And remember, the tool’s still in Private Beta, who knows what it'll be capable of once it’s had a couple of years to bed in.

5. Social Media Caption Wizard
If you’re the kind of person that has to spend a lot of time on LinkedIn, then I feel sorry for you. Using HubSpot's caption wizard might just help shave off a couple of mind-numbing hours by creating captions for you in a single click.

6. Remix
Repurposing content has always been a good idea, but with the help of HubSpot's AI-powered Remix, doing so has just become a lot easier. Remix allows you to create a full campaign from a single piece of content. Simply upload a blog, landing page, or website page and select the assets you want HubSpot to create - such as social posts, emails, or images. Once again, don't expect the output to be perfect, but do expect a decent starting point, which with a bit of fine-tuning will be ready to go.

So, there you have it, 6 HubSpot AI tools that will help offload some of your mundane marketing busywork, without having to take a night course on AI language models. But remember, it's what you do with the time you save that really matters, only by offering greater value can you prevent your AI nightmares from becoming a reality.
